Terms of Service
Last updated 27 July 2026
These terms cover your use of Relay. By creating an account you agree to them. Billing has its own page: Subscription Terms.
Who you are contracting with
Relay is provided by Michael Fraser Buffini, Route de Lausanne 20D, 1180 Rolle, Switzerland ("we", "us"). Contact: support@relaygtd.com.
Your account
You sign in with a Google account. Keep access to it secure — anyone who can sign in as you can read and delete everything in your Relay account. You must be at least 16 to use Relay.
One account is for one person. You may use it on as many of your own devices as you like.
Your content is yours
Everything you put into Relay — your tasks, notes, projects and uploaded files — remains yours. We claim no ownership of it and no licence to use it beyond what is needed to run the service for you: storing it, displaying it back to you, syncing it between your devices, and backing it up.
We do not read your content to train models, we do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising. The only time any of it leaves Relay's own systems is when you ask: connecting an integration, forwarding an email, or pressing the AI prompt button. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what goes where.
You are responsible for what you store. Do not use Relay to store anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to hold.
Getting your data out
Account → Export my data produces a machine-readable copy at any time, including while your subscription is lapsed. You do not need our permission or assistance to leave.
What we provide, and what we do not promise
We work to keep Relay available and correct, but it is provided as is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will suit any particular purpose of yours.
Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. The export feature exists for this. Relay is a tool for organising your commitments, not a system of record for anything critical.
Relay depends on third-party services — Google Cloud, and whichever integrations you connect. When one of them is down or changes, parts of Relay may stop working, and that is outside our control.
Integrations
Connecting Google Calendar, Google Tasks, Todoist, Notion or Linear is optional, and each is granted separately. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, not ours. We only ask for the access a feature actually needs, and you can disconnect any of them at any time.
AI prompts
Relay can offer reflective prompts about what you have written. They are suggestions from a language model and may be wrong, unhelpful, or obvious. They are never a substitute for your own judgement, and they are not advice of any kind. Nothing is sent to the AI unless you press the button, and the feature can be switched off entirely.
Acceptable use
Please do not:
- break the law with it, or store content you have no right to hold;
- try to access another account's data, or probe, scan or attack the service;
- resell Relay, or use it to build a competing product from the inside;
- abuse the capture address or any automated entry point in a way that degrades the service for others.
We may suspend an account that does these things. Where we can do so safely, we will tell you first and give you a chance to export your data.
Ending it
You can stop at any time: cancel your subscription, or delete your account outright from Account → Delete account or the deletion request page. Deleting is immediate and irreversible.
We may end or suspend your access if you materially breach these terms, or if we discontinue Relay. If we discontinue it, we will give reasonable notice and a window to export your data.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost or corrupted data. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will give notice in the app or by email before they take effect, and continuing to use Relay after that means you accept them. If you do not, you can cancel and export your data.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Swiss law, and the courts of the Canton of Vaud, Switzerland have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in the EU or UK, this does not deprive you of the protection of your local law or of the right to bring proceedings where you live.
